After dutifully serving the city’s Orthodox boys and girls from Pre-K through 8th grade with a rich curriculum in both limudei kodesh and general studies, PHDS sought to expand enrollment with a new segment: as-of-yet unaffiliated local Jewish families. To complement this goal, they aimed to refresh their image to raise awareness of the newly modernized school and showcase its warm, inclusive environment for a diverse student population.
A great campaign starts with a beautiful brand. For PHDS’s visual revamp, BLMG centered the look around the school’s slogan: Passing the Torch from Generation to Generation. The message was encapsulated with the flame of Torah as the core visual, while neatly capturing the "P" for Providence within it. Shades of blue were used to reflect themes of education and Jewish identity.
With gorgeous brand visuals in place, BLMG jumped into developing a recruitment brochure that highlights everything Providence has to offer. To create a picture-perfect portrayal of PHDS, we included testimonials from alumni, parents, and students. Bright colors and energetic design burst off every page, accompanied by vibrant photos of the campus and its students.
BLMG also provided PHDS with a full website revamp: reorganizing the structure, refining the content, and updating the design, all to better reflect the school’s contemporary mission and values. The new web presence now features a streamlined user experience and a refreshed design that makes the site a pleasure to visit and effectively showcases PHDS’s outstanding educational offerings.
BLMG created exterior signage to proudly welcome prospective families, with messaging that not only highlights enrollment, but also invites newcomers to discover a warm Jewish community and a stronger Jewish identity. The campaign also included several more creative deliverables that captured PHDS’s vibrant spirit, like support for outreach through additional advertising avenues, eblasts, and smaller-scale signage to further the school’s goal of expanded enrollment.
The Providence Hebrew Day School Rebrand & Recruitment Campaign gave the school a renewed presence in the community. With a bold new identity, modern website, and engaging outreach tools, PHDS is set to grow its enrollment and broaden its impact. True to its name, its goal of reaching new Jewish families is guided by Providence.
